Roasted Makhana (Fox Nuts, Phool Makhana, Lotus Seeds)

  • 2 to 3 tbsp Oil / Ghee
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt required level


  • Heat ghee or oil in a pan or Kadai. Add the Makhana.
  • Roast for about 10 to 15 mins on a low medium flame until it becomes crispy and crunchy.
  • Now add the spices like turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt. Give a good mix and switch off the flame.
  • Give a good mix and serve it. You can also store it in an airtight container.
