Eggless Chocolate Brownie Cookies
Eggless Chocolate Brownie Cookies – The double dose of chocolate in this cookie will definitely blow your mind. They are crispy outside and rich in chocolate flavour.
I am a big fan of brownies. I was thinking why can’t I make cookies with a similar procedure. I did it, It came out well. It’s quite a hit as well. Sometimes I find chocolate cake or brownie tastes better the next day. This cookie falls under the same category.
If your cookie is not raising well, then the reason might be, the dough is not chilled enough. Refrigerate the cookie dough before start baking. The butter we use in the cookie dough would start melting if we keep at room temperature. That makes the cookie to spread and become flat.
Don’t overtake the cookies, Once it is cool down, the outer layer will become more firm. So over baking would change the flavour.
Now let’s see, how to make these delicious cookies.
- Maida / Plain flour / All purpose flour – 2 cups
- Corn flour – 3 tbsp
- Baking powder – 1 tsp
- Cocoa powder – 50 gm
- Dark Chocolate – 150 gm
- Butter – 50 gm
- Sugar – 150 gm
- Milk – 100 ml
First, Get all the ingredients ready. Get the butter to room temperature in a bowl, add the sugar in to it. Beat well, until it forms a nice creamy texture.
Next melt the dark chocolate in another bowl. I chopped the dark chocolate into small pieces and microwaved it. You can also melt the chocolate by double boiling method.
Now add the chocolate to the creamy butter mixture. Give a good mix, then seive the dry flours (Maida, corn flour and baking powder) into it.
Mix it well and make suer the butter mixture is incorporated to the flour well. Now add milk, to make a nice dough. Add few tbsp at a time.
Once the dough is ready, wrap the dough and refrigerate for 20 to 30 mins. Meanwhile pre heat the oven for 15 mins at 180 degrees.
Once everything is ready, Now take the dough out, make a small lemonsize ball out of the dough, slightly flatten it and place it on the lined baking tray. Give some space between each cookies, that while rising it wouldn’t be a problem.
I baked my cookies for 10 mins. It’s perfect crispy outside and soft inside. Remember when the cookies are cool down, the outer layer becomes more firm. Do not over bake it.
Once it is ready, serve with a cup of milk. It tastes awesome with milk. Once you dunk the cookie, it actually releases more flavour. Enjoy it with your family.
Happy Baking 🙂
