Eggless Sooji Mawa Cake Recipe – This cake flour-less, all you need is some milk and Sooji to make this perfect tasty cake.

I always wanted to give a try on this cake, since it is flourless and eggless. I was curious like how it’s going to turn out. To my surprise, I got it so well, when I made this cake for the first time. It’s a little dense since we used Sooji, but it is perfect for a cup of coffee or tea in the evening.

I added lots of milk-based products here, So If you are not fond of milk, butter or mawa. Then you can skip this. Else, go ahead and give a try, you will not get disappointed. This is one of the cakes I make it often, everyone in my family love this cake 🙂

Ingredients

  • 200 gm Milk Powder
  • 250 ml Amul Fresh Cream
  • 100 gm Melted Butter
  • 150 gm Sugar
  • 100 ml Yogurt / Curd
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 250 gm Chiroti Sooji

Instructions

  • First, take milk powder and fresh cream in a big bowl. I used Amul milk cream, you can use other products as well.
  • Mix well, without any lumps and keep it in the microwave for 2 mins.
    After 2 mins, take out. Give a good mix once again. Now microwave the mixture for another 2 more mins again.
  • After 2 to 3 times, of repeating this process, you will get a mawa. Once the mawa is ready, Keep it in a separate bowl. 
  • Now melt the butter in a big mixing bowl.
  • Add the sugar to the butter. Beat well until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Add mawa also to the butter mixture. Mix everything well.
  • Add the curd, mix well.
  • Add the milk. Then add the cardamom powder and give a good mix.
  • Once it is done, now add the baking powder and mix everything well.
  • Finally, get the sooji ready, I used chiroti sooji or you can use fine sooji available in the market.
    Meanwhile, get the oven ready. Preheat it for 15 mins.
  • Add the sooji to the batter slowly and give a good mix without any lumps.
  • Now line the baking tray with parchment paper or apply butter/ghee. Once the tray is ready, pour the batter evenly. Tap on the corners.
    Make sure the batter is spread evenly. Add the chopped nuts as topping for the cake. If you want to add some other toppings, go ahead and add it.
  • Once the preheating is done. Place the tray in the oven, allow it to bake for about 20 mins.
    The timing varies based on the oven. For me, it took only 20 mins after preheating. You can check with a toothpick, whether the cake is ready or not.
  • Now the cake is baked perfectly. Once you remove it from the oven, cover the cake tray with aluminum foil and allow it to cool down. This will make the cake not go very hard after it is cool down.
    Allow it to cool down completely and then remove the cake. Now yummy Eggless Sooji Mawa Cake is ready to serve.

Process:

Get all the ingredients ready, First, take milk powder and fresh cream in a big bowl. I used Amul milk cream, you can use other products as well.

Once it is done, now add the baking powder and mix everything well.

Finally, get the sooji ready, I used chiroti sooji or you can use fine sooji available in the market.
