I like sweets and actually nobody in my family says NO to sweets. My mom prepares different varieties always. One of my favorite sweets is Palkova. Some people call it as Milk Peda or Thiratipal. It has different names based on region. This time I wanted to try this sweet in slightly a different way. I added Cocoa powder in that, to get that chocolaty taste. Believe me it was awesome.

This recipe could be prepared in two ways, either from Condensed Milk or from Plain Milk. I used Plain Milk here, If you are using condensed milk, then the ingredient differs slightly. This recipe takes slightly a good amount of time. For me it took 1 hr 15 mins. I usually cook in low medium heat. It depends, at least it should take minimum 50 mins for 1 liter of milk.

This month, for the A to Z Recipe Challenge, the Alphabet ‘C’ is planned and I thought this recipe “Chocolate Palkova” would match perfectly. This challenge was initiated by Jolly Makkar and Vidya Narayan, this is our 3rd post for the challenge. We choose key ingredients alphabetically to cook and post a dish every alternate month.
