One of my blogger friends “Ragini“, She is an expert in baking, I tried one of her recipe “Egg-less Atta Cookies“, It came out so well. I love cookies, I usually take at least two cookies with my tea every day. I got this habit from college. It’s hard to change now 🙂 I have been thinking to bake healthy atta cookies from quite some time. I found this perfect recipe from her Raginibakersparadise4u blog.

Ingredients:

  • Whole wheat flour – 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Butter – 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – 1 tbsp
  • Baking powder – 1 tsp
  • Corn flour – 2 tbsp
  • Milk – 5 tbsp

Process:

  1. Get all the ingredients ready. First, get the butter at room temperature state, it should be in a semi-liquid form.
  2. Now add the powdered sugar to the butter.
  3. Whisk or beat well, until the creamy texture comes.
  4. Now take the dry flours (wheat flour, cornflour, cardamom powder, and baking powder) in another mixing bowl.
  5. Mix everything well and the butter mixture also. Mix well until the flour is coated well with butter mixture.
  6. Now add milk slowly, knead the flour to form a smooth dough.
  7. Rest the dough for few mins, Now preheat the oven at 180 c for 10 mins.
  8. Now take a small piece of dough, press it and cut into the desired shape.
  9. Prepare the baking tray with parchment paper, place the pieces on the baking tray with a bit of space.
  10. Bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes. Timing depends on the oven. Bake the cookies till the edges turn a light golden brown color. The cookie will be a little soft when it is hot. Once it is cool down, it will become crispy. So don’t try to bake until it is very hard.
  11. Serve these yummy Wheat Cookies with tea or snack.

    1. Hi Pragathi.. Glad to see you here.. We need baking powder da, otherwise cookie won’t rise. You can bake in pressure cooker. For that there are some steps to be followed.. Will send you the link.
