This Instant Wheat Dosa is made using whole wheat flour, which is also called as Atta, It’s a quick recipe. This dish can be prepared for breakfast or snack. Once the ingredients are mixed and the batter is ready, It needs to rest for 30 mins before making dosa. This batter can also be prepared before like overnight and refrigerate for morning quick breakfast. This healthy instant dosa goes well with tomato chutney or coconut chutney or chutney powder as well.

Ingredients:

  • Wheat Flour – 1 cup (150 g)
  • Rice Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – required level
  • Curd – 1 tbsp
  • Onion – 1 medium sized (finely chopped)
  • Curry leaves – few (finely chopped)
  • Ginger – 1 inch (finely chopped)
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Water – 2.5 cups
  • Oil – To prepare dosa

Description:

  1. Take wheat and rice flour in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add Chopped onions, curry leaves, ginger and cumin seeds. Mix everything well.
  3. Add salt, curd and water. Make a thin batter without any lumps. Add water according to thin consistency.
  4. Once the batter is ready. Keep it aside and rest for 20 to 25 mins.
  5. After that, Heat the dosa pan, pour the batter from a little height and make a thin layer, to get the net effect. Do not spread like normal dosa. Slightly spread the oil on the sides.
  6. It usually takes more time to cook when compared to normal dosa. Allow to cook completely on one the side and flip the dosa to cook on other side as well.
  7. Once it is ready, serve with chutney.
