Here is another quick and yummy sandwich breakfast “Mint and Onion Sandwich“. Just need some simple ingredients to prepare this, I used Onion and Cheese as stuffing for this sandwich. You could try other ingredient as well.
Ingredients for Mint paste:
- Mint leaves – 1 cup
- Ginger – 1 inch (finely chopped)
- Garlic – 5 to 6 cloves (finely chopped)
- Salt – required amount
- Turmeric and Chili powder – 1 tbsp
- Grated coconut – 2 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
Ingredients for Sandwich:
- Onion – 1 medium sized finely chopped
- Cheese – required level
- Ghee or butter – For toasting (optional)
- Bread Slices
Get the mint leaves ready and rinse with water for 2 to 3 times to remove the dirt.
Heat the pan, add oil into that, once the oil is heated, add chopped ginger and garlic into that and saute well.
After a few mins, add mint leaves also into that. Saute everything well.
Once it is started cooking, the leaves would start shrinking, add salt, turmeric and chili powder into that. Mix everything well. Leave it to cool down for a few mins and transfer it to the mixer jar and add grated coconut as well for grinding, add a very little amount of water.
Now get the mint paste ready and keep it aside.
Get the bread slices ready, chop the sides if you don’t prefer that. Apply the paste on one side of the two pieces of bread.
Now spread the onion on one bread and top with some cheese.
Close the bread and apply butter or Ghee on the other sides if you want and place it inside the sandwich maker.
Now yummy and aromatic sandwich is ready to serve.
