Ragi (Finger Millet) Dosa – The whole healthy Breakfast

Ragi(Finger Millet) is very good for health. Everyone (adults and kids) ย can consume it. Making Ragi flour or powder is a slight a big process, There is a different way for different recipes like porridge and dosa or ada. My mom is good at making the Ragi flour, Wheat Flour from its grain, I usually get it from her. I will post the method of making the flour in a different post. Here I am just going to show how to make Dosa out of that flour.

Ingredients:

  1. Ragi Flour – 1 cup
  2. Curd or plain yogurt – 1/2 cup
  3. Water – 100 ml
  4. Salt – required level
  5. Oil – for dosa

Process:

Get the Ragi flour in a mixing bowl, add salt and mix well

Then take half cup of curd and 100 ml of water, mix everything with the flour and make a smooth batter. Add little more water if it is required. The batter consistency should be medium, not too thick or thin.

Once the batter is ready, set is aside for 5 to 10 mins. After 10 mins, heat the dosa pan, spread the batter on that pan.

Unlike other dosa, Ragi takes a little bit more time to cook, Keep the flame in simmer and allow it to cook for some time.

Once it is cooked, You can flip the dosa, to cook on other side.

Yummy and Healthy hot Ragi Dosa is ready to serve. It tastes better with coconut chutney.
