Egg less Wheat Banana Cake Recipe
We all love cakes and pastries. To have a descent and yummy cake, you don’t need to stop by the shops. If you have a convection oven and some baking ingredients, you can do it at home itself. It’s the first time, I tried to bake wheat and banana combination, to my surprise it came out so well. So I suggest everyone to give a try, you will be amazed.
- Ripe or overripe Bananas – 5 to 6 (medium size)
- Wheat Flour – 1.5 cups or 150 gms (filtered)
- Sugar – 0.5 cup (powdered)
- Oil – 0.5 cup (Olive oil or any flavored oil)
- Salt – a pinch
- Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp.
- Baking powder – 1 tsp.
- Baking Soda – 0.5 tsp.
- Ghee or butter – to grease the baking tray
- Dry fruits or raisins or choco chips or tutti frutti.
Get all the ingredients ready, grease the baking tray with butter or ghee and keep it aside. Set the oven to preheat mode at 180 degrees for 10 mins. I use automatic cake cooking option, so the timing is also automatic. It depends on your oven.
Now peel the bananas and smash it completely without any lumps. Either you can use a blender or smash with fork or spoon.
After smashing the bananas, add the powdered sugar into that and beat well, until the sugar dissolves completely.
Once it is done, add oil into that mixture and beat well. Once the banana puree blends with oil.
Add vanilla essence also into that and mix well.
Now take the wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a mixing bowl, mix well and add into the banana puree.
Now the important thing here is, cut and fold the whole mixture, Do not beat or stir the batter. Just cut and fold the whole batter without any lumps. Once you get the smooth batter, add some dry fruits or raisins or tutti fruity into that and cut and fold the batter.
Once it is ready, pour the batter into the greased baking tray. Hold the tray and just tap the tray on the sides to get the batter spread evenly on all the corners.
Keep the tray inside the oven at convection mode for 20 mins. Since it’s already preheated, it takes less minutes to bake. For some people it might take more or less time, just keep an eye and check after 15 mins with toothpick to see whether it is baked completely or not.
If it is done, let it cool down for few mins and transfer to a plate, cut and serve it. Yummy wheat banana cake is ready.
